SSC CGL 2016: Exam Analysis - 3rd September

Hello Friends,

The 8th Day of SSC CGL Online Exam is over. Here we bring you the exam analysis of SSC CGL 3rd September. Students having their SSC CGL exam in other shift/days can get an accumulated idea of the examination as the pattern this year has some major changes. 

SSC CGL examination for the first time is being conducted online. There are four sections in SSC CGL Examination namely: Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence, General Awareness and English Language. 

Now there are 25 question per section and each question carries 2 marks. Time limit for Online Examination is 75 minutes and for each wrong answer 0.50 mark will be deducted.

The Exam Analysis: RBI Grade B Phase-I, 2016 (1st Shift)

Hi Friends,

You all know that RBI Grade B exam first shift is over now. Many students have appeared for the exam. Let us look at the analysis that our students have shared with us.

The quant section was one of the most difficult section. Some students said that the level was at par with what SBI asked in PO mains examination. Reasoning was easier which helped the students to sail through. English was easy to moderate. Let us look at the overall analysis:

If we talk about the over-all difficulty level of the examination, then we can say that it was a Moderate. So, the cut-off may surge. Let us look at the individual sections below:

Quant:

The quant section was the most difficult section of the paper. Most of the students attempted as low as 10 questions in this section. The Missing DI was very difficult. Quadratic Equations were based on SBI PO Mains level pattern. The arithmetic questions were not only time taking but difficult ones. The good attempt should be between 14-17 which was achievable if you have picked the right questions.

Reasoning:

After SBI PO Mains, most of the students were anticipating this section to be tougher. But RBI kept this section quite logical and it was easy to moderate. Those who have practiced well can easily attempt 40-46. The questions were from Puzzles, Machine Input Output, Syllogism, Data Sufficiency, Logical Reasoning and Inequalities.

English Language:

This remained one of the moderate section. Students have said that the questions were the conventional ones unlike SBI PO Mains and level varied from moderate to difficult. The questions included 2 Passages, Error Detection, Fillers, Cloze Test. The one who have practiced can score around 16-20.

General Language:

Current Affairs dominated in the section. With lesser number of Static Question, this time RBI has emphasised on Current Questions. Banking awareness questions were also asked. The questions were asked from the recent months and mostly the last two months. So all those who have kept track of GK Questions could have scored around 45-55.
